Creating Cures Through Facility Investments
Pfizer continues to invest in the groundbreaking science and technology needed to discover tomorrow’s life-saving treatments for patients who need them the most. Our research, development, and manufacturing facilities across the country are fostering next-generation healthcare innovation while creating 30,000 U.S.-based jobs.
In 2019, we invested nearly $1 billion in new and existing facilities to fulfill our commitment to deliver breakthroughs that change patients' lives. Our latest investments include:
- An expansion of our manufacturing facility in Sanford, North Carolina, including a new facility for producing and supplying critical, potentially life-changing gene therapies to patients living with rare diseases around the world.
- A new, state-of-the-art research and development facility in Chesterfield, Missouri, dedicated to discovering new biologic therapies and vaccines.
- A new manufacturing facility at our Andover, Massachussetts, campus that produces advanced clinical supplies and accelerates the development of important treatments for patients.
